Good Evening,
Well they say good things come to those who wait…and here we are in the fall months of the year with several HUGE ATA Shoots coming up in Ontario. It’s not time to hang up the trap gun and get out the duck gun just yet!
With over $3,000 in money and prizes to be awarded to shooters in the next few weeks, rest assured that there is not a state or province in North America with this much effort and support from our clubs, as well as the OPTA and other club sponsors to try and attract shooters to attend. Please take a look at the summary below. Hopefully you can make it out to at least one shoot to support some of our smaller clubs, which across the continent represent the backbone of the ATA. Quinte and Napanee are back to back in October, which would make for a fun weekend in Eastern Ontario!
Whether you shot one event, or shot thousands of targets in Ontario, we are all part of the over 660,000 targets thrown in the province this year. This represents the highest total in at least the last 15 years!
Thank you for your support of trapshooting in Ontario.
Beau Douglas
OPTA Secretary/Treasurer
